Question.

In my BSF study one of the questions last week sent us to Luke 6:45 ( 45The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.) This scripture made me think of Jeremiah 17:9 ( 9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?) So, how can a good man bring good out of a deceitful heart? Is the heart still deceitful and untrustworthy even after Christ? Can we trust what our hearts tell us or are we to only trust what is seen in deeds and in actions, for ourselves and others? I would love your input.
